Spamphibian
Spamphibian Gateway is a unique new stand alone spam-fighting solution that works with your existing SMTP server. Included is Spamphibian Admin, an easy-to-use Mac OS X application to remotely monitor, configure and administer Spamphibian Gateway.
Spamphibian Gateway is a server-side spam stopper, which means messages caught by Spamphibian Gateway are halted at the server and do not reach the user's account. The administrator can manually create any number of IP addresses, domains, URLs, generic string, or regular expressions filters to stop unwanted mail.
The real benefit of Spamphibian comes with a subscription to the Outspring Spamcaster Subscription Service where Spamphibian Gateway will receive daily updates of our powerful and reliable filter list. To purchase a subscription to this service, please visit our online store at: http://www.outspring.com/catalog/

Known Issues
Spamphibian Gateway
- By default, Spamphibian Gateway will generate "backscatter" if your destination mail server is configured to reject unknown users. There are hidden prefs you can enable to reduce this "backscatter", see "Chapter 7: Reducing Backscatter with "RCPT TO" Checking" of the manual at: http://help.outspring.com/spamphibian/en-us/mac/1.2/help.cgi?page=rcpttochecking
- Spamphibian Gateway may be slow to shutdown if there are busy SMTP or admin server connections
- Not all monitor statistics available per domain
- Not all log entries are available per domain
- Rescanning messages are not re-checked against DNSBL services
- Rule files (ex: "Global Rules.txt") that do not follow the syntax may crash Spamphibian Gateway
- The "max messages per connection" SMTP Out preference is not heeded
Spamphibian Admin
- Slow response to multiple deliver, delete, rescan or redirect commands
- If a column (ex: "Subject") is too narrow, the value may appear blank (instead of truncated with ...)
- Canceling KeyChain dialogs may cause a crash
- The Filter view may appear blank if viewed immediately after a connection to Spamphibian Gateway is established
